A company car driver who charges at home is usually stuck with an expense claim: guess the kWh, guess the tariff, submit a form, wait. Andersen EV and Rightcharge announced a partnership on August 27, 2026 that removes that step for UK fleets. Charging data from an Andersen home chargepoint now flows into Rightcharge, which prices each session at the driver's own actual domestic tariff, pays the amount straight onto their household energy bill, and rolls every driver's charging into one HMRC-compliant bill for the employer once a month. The service is live now for new and existing Andersen customers whose employer runs on Rightcharge.
"Home charging plays a vital role in making electric company cars convenient and cost-effective for drivers, but the process of reclaiming charging costs is rarely straightforward," said David Martell, CEO of Andersen EV. "Working with Rightcharge gives Andersen customers a simple, automated way to be reimbursed." Freddie Winterbotham, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Rightcharge, called Andersen "a great addition to our growing list of integrated chargers," adding that both companies "share a real focus on making home charging as easy as possible for drivers and fleets."
The mechanism only works because Andersen built a direct integration into Rightcharge's platform, one specific chargepoint brand wired into one specific reimbursement platform. That is a real solution for Andersen drivers today, and it is also the shape of the limit: the same problem exists for every other charger brand a fleet's drivers happen to have at home, and each one needs its own bilateral deal to get the same result. A charger that reports its sessions over OCPP, the way Plugchoice manages them, can feed that same kind of reimbursement pipeline regardless of which brand is on the driver's wall, which is the difference between building this integration once per charger brand and building it once.
